2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Authentication: Email address and password (secured via cryptographic password hashing through Supabase Auth).
  • Profile Information: Name, calculated age (derived from verified date of birth), gender, sexual orientation, relationship intent, bio, and lifestyle tags.
  • Profile Photographs: User-uploaded photos submitted to secure cloud storage for discovery feed display.
  • Direct Chat Communications: Encrypted messages and timestamps exchanged exclusively with mutual matches.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Location & Distance: Device latitude and longitude collected exclusively while using the app to compute mutual candidate proximity.
  • Device Telemetry: Operating system version (Android 16+), app build number, network state, and crash analytics to diagnose stability.
🔒 Our Spatial Privacy Guarantee: Your raw GPS coordinates and exact physical location are never shared, displayed, or sold to other members. Other users only see calculated approximate distances in whole kilometers (e.g., "3 km away").

3. How We Use and Protect Your Data

Your data is processed strictly to deliver dating features:

  • Calculating discovery recommendations based on distance and orientation filters.
  • Executing transactional atomic swipes and mutual match notifications.
  • Powering real-time 1:1 chat between mutually matched profiles.
  • Enforcing our Community Guidelines, blocking trolls, and barring bad actors.

3.1 Database Row Level Security (RLS)

Every single database table in Morbi is locked down with strict PostgreSQL Row Level Security. Direct messages and matches are accessible only to the two authenticated participants in that match.

4. Google Play Data Safety Disclosures

  • Data Collected: Approximate Location, Name, Email, Age/DOB, User Photos, In-App Messages, User Interactions (swipes).
  • Data Shared with Third Parties: None. We do not sell data to data brokers or third-party ad networks.
  • Security Practices: All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3. Users can request immediate account deletion at any time.

5. Your Deletion Rights & Permanent Data Erasure

You have the complete right to permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time:

  • In-App Deletion: Tap Settings > Account Actions > Delete Account. This immediately triggers our cascading database wipe (photos, swipes, matches, messages, and credentials).
  • Web Deletion Portal: If you no longer have access to the app, visit our Account Deletion Portal to submit an online deletion request.
